No structure is inspected, no pesticide is applied, no fumigation is performed and no wood-destroying organism report is issued by Orlando Pest Control. The work is performed by an independently owned local pest control company, which carries the liability for its inspection, its treatment, its personnel, its quoted price and the outcome of the job.

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services licenses pest control businesses under Chapter 482 of the Florida Statutes through its Bureau of Licensing and Enforcement, and the statute requires a certified operator, examined in the applicable category, to be in charge of a licensed business location. The obligation to hold that licence, to have the certified operator and any inspector designation the work calls for, and to keep its own insurance in force lies with the company doing the work, which answers to that department for it. Orlando Pest Control holds no such licence, asserts none, and has not examined the licence or insurance records of any company on behalf of a caller.

A caller who asks is given the company's licence number, either by telephone on this line or by the company itself when it calls to arrange the visit. It is not shown on these pages, for the privacy of the company whose registration it is. Verification is through the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, which maintains the licensing records for the trade. Nothing published on this Site is a promise of insurance cover, of a particular outcome, or of when a technician will arrive.
